News Update January 2012 From Greg Beech

Happy New Year to our HOHI sponsors. 

Thank you for your ongoing support of the children in our HOHI partnered projects. We appreciate you very much and you are making a difference to the plight of orphaned children. 

2011 was a year of growth for HOHI and 2012 will see an expansion of our projects and the opening of several new homes. Last October Vicki and I visited the HOHI children’s homes in Miraj and were impressed once again by the quality of care the children are receiving, the children’s progress in school, and the vision the Miraj team have for the future. We were also able to visit the 3 Indonesian children’s homes in November and see the way each project is developing. We were glad to have a team from the Lighthouse church with us as well as Andrew Babbage one of our HOHI Directors. Next month I will be back in Indonesia and will undertake further staff training in each of the Indonesia projects as well as helping local teams launch two new children’s projects.

When we see the global plight of orphans it can seem overwhelming. So many little ones are suffering and it is easy to think “What’s the use? It’s all too hard.” Yet I am encouraged to see the difference that we can make one child at a time. What we can do is respond in love to the needs before us and rescue one child at a time. Sponsorship continues to provide a future for the many children in our various projects. Let me encourage you to continue to make a difference in 2012.
