MAPUTO, Mozambique - Widows Project 'Seeds of Hope'

The home we have built is dormitory style and houses 8 widows and a carer. The refuge has a kitchen/dining area and a lounge. The widows will care for a garden, chickens, and will also do handicraft that will be both therapeutic and provide a small income stream.

The overall cost of this project is approximately $AUS 10,000 per year.

The cost per resident in the refuge is $AUS 24.00 per week to provide shelter, care, food, and supervised activities. This equates to 3 sponsors per widow, per month.

We need your help to sponsor these women who are in such desperate need.

Your $AUS 39.00 a month sponsorship contributes to providing accommodation, food, care, and basic medical treatment.

It is also possible for visitors who meet the HOHI requirements, to visit this project and assist in the care programmes. Please contact the HOHI office for more information.
